What happens during lip filler treatment
During lip augmentation, a soft hyaluronic acid filler is placed into the lip body, lip border or philtrum using fine needles or blunt cannulas. Hyaluronic acid is a moisture reservoir naturally found in the body — the result feels soft and natural. Depending on your wishes, different goals take priority: more volume, a more sharply defined contour, a balanced ratio between upper and lower lip, or simply more freshness and hydration for lips that have become thinner.
Your lip treatment step by step
Consultation & analysis of lip shape
We discuss what you would like — and what suits your proportions. You receive an honest medical assessment, even if the answer is “less is more”.
Numbing
A numbing cream is applied before treatment to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
Shaping in fine increments
The filler is placed precisely in small amounts and carefully shaped — with checks in the mirror along the way.
Aftercare & check-up
Mild swelling is normal in the first few days. The final result becomes visible after around one to two weeks; a check-up appointment is available on request.
Natural rather than noticeable
Beautiful lips don't stand out — they blend in. That's why we prefer to build volume gently over one or two sessions rather than attempting too much in one go. And should you ever be unhappy with a result, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved enzymatically — a safety net only physician-led practices can offer.
From Mainz, Frankfurt and the Taunus
Our practice in Wiesbaden can be reached quickly from across the Rhine-Main region. Many patients come from Mainz and Frankfurt am Main because a natural, understated result matters more to them than the shortest journey.
Price
A lip treatment with hyaluronic acid starts at €350 (billed according to the GOÄ, the German scale of medical fees). The exact price depends on the amount of product and the effort involved — you receive a transparent overview in advance.
Frequently asked questions
How long do lip filler results last?
Depending on the product, your metabolism and lip activity, results often last around six to twelve months. The lips then slowly return to their original shape; a top-up is possible.
Does lip filler hurt?
The lips are sensitive, so we apply a numbing cream before treatment. Most people find the treatment quite tolerable as a result.
Will my lips look unnatural afterwards?
Our aim is the opposite: a harmonious lip contour and volume that suits your face. We deliberately dose conservatively and prefer to build up gradually.
How soon can I be seen in public again?
Immediately after treatment, the lips may be slightly swollen; this usually subsides within a few days. It's best not to schedule important engagements on the day of treatment.
Can hyaluronic acid be removed again?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be medically dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase — an advantage over permanent materials.
